AI will change how we deal with wine, no question about it. It will be interesting to see, how far this change will go. Will we soon all be carrying a mobile pocket sommelier with a sensor? Will sommeliers be replaced by artificial intelligence? Is expert knowledge in this area going to be democratized? In anticipation of our event on February 5, 2024, in Dortmund (see announcements), I talk with Felix Hüttemann about the current state of the field, which he studies as a Germanist and philosopher.
